1 - ASEAS 2(1) online

Yes, it took us a while but finally ASEAS 2(1) went online. We took into account our readers' feedback, had some modification on layout and design to enhance readability as well as optical appearance and are looking forward your comments.

Although we had an open call for papers, mostly contributions on Indonesia made it into this issue. You can however also find an article on the Lao-Thai relations by Oliver Tappe as well as a book review and an interview with Marco Bünte of GIGA institute in Hamburg. Enjoy reading!

Go to the download section for our current issue.

Still running are our CfP for the next two issues. Find them on our Website under ASEAS>Call for Papers, or simply here.

2 - VIENNASIAN - Open Space

openspace

Within the context of SEAS's cultural spin-off youth & photography project VIENNASIAN we want to invite projects and initiatives in Vienna and Austria that are covering Asian culture, photography or youth culture to participate in our OPEN SPACE at Ragnarhof gallery, Vienna, 16th district. The exhibition of our project's results runs from September 8 to 30.

Find more information here. (deutsche Info hier)

More information on VIENNASIAN can be found here (German language only).

3 - SEAS / ASEAS Internships

For the upcoming semester we offer two new kinds of internships. Besides our regular internship this will be a conference and a editorial internship. We would be happy if you could forward this information to people interested.
